Which is the entry level and more basic level Linux certifications?

May I know which is the easier certification to take up for Linux? Linux+ or LPIC Level One? I just want one to start myself off with Linux before going for the commercial Linux certifications.

Which certifications deals more with the basics of Linux? Or is there another that I am unaware of? Thanks.

Hi,

i do not know about Linux+, but all other certifications i know about provide certification paths from entry to professional level, what means you can grow with your knowledge.

Take a look at the website of LPI certification www.lpi.org. There are detailed descriptions about the required knowledge levels.

I'm studying for LPI certification. They have three levels. I got to tell you, the first level I'm on now is fairly detailed. Much of it is fairly easy, like commands for working with files, like cd, cp,, mv, less, more. But some of it goes into setting environment variables, and bios setup for IDE and SCSI. It's worth it, if you just study for the test, the worst that will happen is you'll learn Linux.
