RHCE Exam - Could not find the RPMs?

So I've just sat and failed the RHCE exam (I got the RHCT) after the week long fast track course (probably not the best idea for a Linux beginner like me) and I'm feeling a bit miserable.
I understood the course and I felt that I could have made a good stab at the various configuration tasks contained in the RHCE part of the exam but for one thing ... I could not for the life of me track down the RPMs required.
Honestly, it's probably a brain fart on my behalf but as far as I can remember the required software was not already installed (yum list installed *<thing>* or rpq -qa *<thing>*), the RPMs weren't on my system waiting to be installed or available from the examiners system via FTP or HTTP or yum.
I'm keen to retake the exam after I've had a few weeks to become more familiar with things like SELinux but this is really putting me off because unless I can work out what I did wrong the same thing may happen again and I'll have wasted another huge chunk of money (I'm paying for myself).
I waited until the end of the exam so that I could ask the examiner what I had mis-understood but he was unwilling to comment as "it would give you [me] an unfair advantage over other people", which got me pretty frustrated and angry.
Can any of you guys let me in on the big secret; in the RHCE exam where am I supposed to get the software from so that I can install and configure it to prove I know how?

Sadly, as you are aware, those who have taken the exams are under a strict NDA. That said, I would also suggest that when you retake the exam that you make sure to read the instructions very carefully before you proceed. Perhaps you accidentally missed a critical piece of information...

I would also respectfully suggest you consider exercising caution about how you go about gathering information to prepare for your next attempt, as Redhat will strip you of any certifications and ban you for life if they find out you're discussing exam content with anyone. It would suck for you to lose what you've already gained from your previous hard work. Just remember, it's all about how you phrase the questions.

I can only assume I missed a really big piece of information somewhere along the way (perhaps in the exam rubrik)
but I'm really wary of re-taking this exam at my own expense without trying to work out what I did wrong.
I'm finding it frustrating that because of this one thing I can't demonstrate all the things I do know.
Anyway, if I'm going to get in trouble, should I delete this post also?
