Hey, I just installed libranet for the first time last night and the install went extremely smoothe.... However.... In any GUI (I only tried X and KDE before I went to bed) my mouse acts extremely erratically (mouse goes to the bottom left of the screen, flies around, and clicks on anything and everything at random). I did what I was told durring install and did not move the mouse at all, but the mouse goes crazy still. I'm using the free libranet classic, and just a regular PS2 mouse with 2 buttons and a wheel (it found it right away... I figured it would just be a generic driver). ANYWAYS I'm a totall n00b, I have no idea what I'm doing so please take it easy on me.
Sounds like the wrong mouse protocol is being used. Usually IMPS/2 should be the correct protocol for PS/2 wheel mice. If that doesn't work, try the generic PS/2 protocol. You can change this by reconfiguring X using the Libranet Adminmenu and choosing manual configuration.
thak you sooooo much... I had to re-image my hard drive due to an unrelated issue, and on re-install I configued X manually... and it solved ALLLLLL of my problems!!!
Thank you soo much, I am one impressed linux n00b...
