I use about 4-year-old LG 1510S 15". It's default resolution is 1024x768.
It is my first LCD and I like it, but sometimes I get angry that it's too small
Brand? HP
LCD Model? L1940T
Aspect Ratio? 5:4
Default resolution? 1280x1024
Response Time? 8 ms
Brightness? 300 nits
Pixel Pitch? 0.294 mm
VGA / DVI? one on VGA, another on DVI
One of them has a single dead pixel. Used in a dual monitor setup they seem to be good monitors, can't find fault with them. They've just got to stand the test of time now.
Hp
vs17e
vga
1280*1024 - 60hz auto-adjustment
17''
i love it the only thing the built in speakers are cheap as heck and sound distorted
get a decent 5.1 surround sound system. You didn't expect to get nice sound from internal speakers, did you? And if they did go loud they would probably shake around your screen which would suck.
I like my HP vs17e too but I have a problem with it when I use the nvidia driver for my graphics card the system doesn't recognize the exact monitor and I get a signal out of range error from the monitor when I use the generic nv driver I don't have hardware acceleration I'm trying to fix with no luck so far
blah....but otherwise the monitor is great
Likes? S-PVA panel, wide viewing angle, excellent color, superb blacks, 21", nice stand raises up and down/swivels/rotates, good controls, picture in picture support, component, s-video, and composite inputs, 1000:1 contrast ratio, headphone jack
Dislikes? A little pricey (but worth it for the IQ and connections), black border, crap speaker
Regrets? none
Likes? good price, nice pic for a TN panel, good response time, excellent tweaking options, silver frame, no speaker
Dislikes? controls on the back of the panel, cheesy stand, 1 bad pixel
Regrets? none, great value
Brand? Dell
LCD Model? 2407WFP-HC
Aspect Ratio? 16:10 (Yea people, 16:9 is 1920x1080)
Default resolution? 1920x1200
Response Time? 6ms
Brightness? You mean contrast ratio? 1000:1
Pixel Pitch? 0.270 mm
VGA / DVI ? I'm using the DVI, but it has inputs for VGA, Composite, Component, and s-video.
Likes? Best contrast I've ever seen on an LCD, even lighting, colors are pretty good, viewing angles ROCK!!! (It's the good panel, IPS or whatever it's called... it's not a cheapy TN). Extremely fine pixels, LCD can rotate 90 degrees, adjustable stand up and down/left right. As 4 USB in ports on it, and SD/CF readers on the side. Made really well. Has a flat finish to it, I hate the glossy monitors (they look nice but get dirty quickly and are hard to clean).
Dislikes? It was like $150 cheaper a week later I bought it , bought from Dell for $699. Some type of color ghosting issue, if you drag let's say a blue bar across the screen really slowly, it's like the pixels don't flip quick enough to the other color and you get a light red bar behind it. The colored ghosting changes depending on the color of what you drag. This happens only with pretty large blocks of color and a certain speed, slow but a little fast. Gaming and general use I never notice it.
Regrets? None. I'll probably use this monitor for a decade max, but I'll use it as a monitor for other computers after its retirement from my main computer.
Likes? Came with no dead pixels, has literally 'Just Worked', even on Linux, runs cool and has a low power consumption and looks great with compiz-fusion.
Dislikes? None so far (except it doesn't have an adjustable stand, but I don't care much).
