ouch.. midis are the worst... is there any way to prevent websites from playing music? quite possibly the most annoying feature of modern browsers. (luckily, not used often)
I've seen much worse. How about sites where the background makes it difficult to read the text, or where the text is written ALL IN CAPS, with each line a different colour.
Not to mention, of course, sites that won't even let you in unless you are using IE or Netscape for "security" reasons (since IE is just sooooo secure).
I also love the background/text sites - where the background is grey and the text is either light blue or lighter grey.
Oh, and those muppets who put their whole effort on one page. So you end up reading around 500 lines of semi literate, incoherent, hax0r speak and can't work out what the guy is trying to say. And there are normally pointless background images and gifs which add to the confusion. These pages are often called "Welcome to My Personal Hell. by Billy Braithwaite"
Id like to see this worse site you speak of... I mean, we've all seen the example pages of what not to do in various places, (websitesthatsuck for example) but how often do you come across a genuine piece of work like this site?
one site i personally can't stand is bofh.net. Not because of design but content. Obviously this guy who calls himself a "sys admin" is a 13 yr old with probably a 2 or 3 computer lan at his house. This IS NOT the real BOFH you may be thinking of. The real BOFH sagas are funny as stories but not if your professional life is really like this.
Imagine, Like probably some of you I make websites and I mean websites! profesionally, I make awsome looking and database driven websites in a day, and I'am here wondering how long did it take that guy to do his/hers? This is emberrising and its probably people like that that have the good jobs and good life. lol
