Windows install wants to install something on my linux disk
Hello,
I not very good with windows these days and I have a problem. I used to have a Windows Vista and Suse 10.2 dual boot setup that worked fine. The Vista install became more and more unstable over the last few months so I used Linux to copy all the important data of the drive and then deleted all the partitions of the windows disk. I then reinstalled the Linux bootloader and left if for a while.
I now want to install Windows XP on the old now empty SATA HD that used to have linux. It is drive 0 and the linux SATA drive is 1.
The problem is that windows says that it needs to copy some files to the Linux drive to install and therefore I need to delete one of the linux partitions an make it available to windows. This seems stupid to me, what wrong with the whole drive it has? There are no partitions on the Windows drive, should I make one before starting the install?
