Why is it really legal to destroy planet earth?

Hi Guys,

If I would throw sulfuric acid in my garden, no one will tell me anything.

About 10km away where I live, some 20y ago, there was a splendid forest. I was going regularly with my dog, running,... Today, there are houses, a square to play basketball, and they plan to make it larger to build some new houses. Well, no one really matter, right?
This is legal.

EU is completely polluted. Most polluted countries are for instance Slovakia, France, Belgium, Spain, ... without talking about Italy. Forests are so dirty. You may find for instance in Slovakia whatever things in the nature. Nuclear still pollutes,...

The sea of today is really fantastic. You've got nuclear, plastic, metallic,... remains. Sea natural live is in danger, but what's going to change tomorrow. - Nothing it gets worst daily.

People do not really know (or try to care) about our origins or what will happen if sea is completely polluted, forest no remaining,...
World deforestation decreases, but remains alarming in many countries.

Inactivity is killing you. I do not care, but this human specy will end from people sleeping, watching TV, and enjoying their iphone, Android,...

Today, people have lost their responsabilities. Well, this has never been a change. We still think and behave the same as some 3000 years ago.

Human got no single evolution.

Darwin mentioned about "adaptation". We can't adapt at all- we still destroy our world and around us.

All of this is "legal" - it is today legal and will be legal in some 2000 years ago.

But humans won't be there...

no, that is not legal - or it has no any meaning. It is not question of legality but moral, improvidence or something else. Actually I think the Earth itself does not care about it at all.
You can leisurely kill yourself....

"Planet Earth" does not particularly care if Homo Stupidens survives ... or not. The dinosaurs came and went; the planet continued in its orbit. Humanity can do the same thing. Gradually, the human world will just be given back to the pigeons. All traces of humanity's existence will thereby be covered-up with bird poop, which makes great fertilizer for the trees and such.

That is because we have lame laws today! If someone will tell you something they will be sued!

Inactivity really is threat but the second part is only half true - there is nothing wrong using technology as long as you balance it with real life properly.

O rly? Well "Homo Stupidens" do care! World without humans would be actually worst. All the cool stuff and order was implemented by us. Without humanity this planet will go back to brute and primitive lifestyle. There are actually documentary about this. I understand most humans deserve to be called apes for abusing Earth but not largest part of us as whole.

Don't worry about it -- the Fermi Paradox suggests that all "intelligent" life wipes itself out through such methods long before it is capable of extra-planetary colonisation.

Our species will be gone soon, and Mother Earth will quickly recover...

It is not all bad though. Good news is people start to care more. There are a lot of wind generators built in Europe, for example, and other improvements that are ECO friendly.

I love the irony of people posting on the internet about others destroying the environment. The slave kids in the rare-earth mines must be so proud of them all.

What does internet has to do with slave kids or environment? Besides is there other ways to discuss it?

Your computer, phone or other means of connecting to the internet probably contains metals dug out of the earth by 12 years old kids with guns to their heads. If you live in a first world country (to simplify) then an awful lot of things you use every day are likely responsible for child labour and pollution somewhere else on the planet.
Only those who are extremely careful what they buy and from where have even the remotest chance of not having blood on their hands in one way or the other (I'm not one of them, by the way) in this "global economy" though really only those without access to things such as the internet can be sure.
I could even go further and state that I'm not convinced it's even possible for us to be having this discussion like this without at the very lease a fairly hefty amount of environmental destruction and pollution even if the slave labour can be put to rights and energy be made more sustainable.

Why is it legal? Monies. Why is it so bad? Too many people.

Personally I don't care. We're an 'evil' species and we're probably going to be exterminated in the next extinction event when nature has had enough of us and our shenanigans.
