This is weird..WTF?

I downloaded Limewire thinking cool I can download a few songs, well after downloading one song It was time for sleep, I downloaded one song, but after realizing I didnt plug in the ethernet cable into the router I went back to check it downloaded, and it did, I looked and the cable was hanging all the way out of the router.....I am really freaking out because the song is on the HD and I am 100% sure that the cable was not plugged in, it is one of 4 computers on this router that is not used all the time.......WTF?

Are you sure you only have one interface that connects your computer to the internet?

Or the song finished downloading before you unpluged the ethernet cable..

No wireless and all the others were unplugged. and another thing, the only way I could get LimWire to work was to completely disable the firewall iptables.

Well, the solution is simple. Its obvious that your computer has been possesed by Satan. Since he has stolen your soul, hes knows your innermost desires and therefore was able to make the song appear on your computer without it being plugged in. But don't worry, you can get your soul back. All you have to do is put your faith in me and give me your computer.

Wireless with your neighbour.
If your neighbour has no WEP, like mine, you can save some money every month.

If you had been drinking, do you have any left to pass around? I could use a shot.
Cheers

Ok I figured out what happend, all the other ethernet cables were hanging several inches away from the router. I thought mine was one of the hanging ones and since there were no lights on the router I didnt figure there was a connection. The one I was using was not pushed in all the way, and the light was out on the router but it was still making contact. I thought that if the light was out there would be no contact and no internet connection, thats how the old router worked.
