Apple has just topped M$ as the world's largest tech corporation. Their stock price is now greater than M$'s, and now comes in second only to Exxon's. I think the Linux vs. Windows war is over. It should now be Linux vs. OS X!
Let's see... right now (May 30, 2010) aapl is $257 a share with 909 million shares. Msft is $25 a share with 8 billion shares.
I posted a thread about it already.
Market capitalisation is about the most meaningless measure of 'size' though. Revenues, profits, or total assets would all be more appropriate.
Actually, it's the iPhone that gives Apple the most profit. That market is where Apple is dominant, perhaps to more than 40%. Actually, especially here in California, I have seen more iPhones, especially belonging to my peers, than BlackBerries!
Distribution: Mepis and Fedora, also Mandrake and SuSE PC-BSD Mint Solaris 11 express

This is by far the best news I've heard in a while.
BTW: You can get regular software for Linux that you pay for. Star Office, Cedega, Nero for Linux, & perhaps even Work Perfect or some of the Adobe Acrobat software is all available for Linux. WINE and Cedega will also run many M$ software applications for Linux. Of course, giving M$ money for anything is a last resort.
Any idea why you didn't capitalize the first letter in that sentence?
Proprietary software is fascist, plain and simple. If you can fall into its trap and don't want to get out, you're obviously too dumb to be on these forums.
