Lightbulb that perfect mouse

I am getting sore from using the mouse, maybe i should use more command line interface.

OR perhaps there is a mouse out there that does not make me cross my radial against my ulna and strain my forearm. I need a mouse that is in the comfortable postion my hand is in when it rests beside my body or reaches out to shake someone´s hand. Just think . . . we could fit more buttons and comfortable controls on a mouse orientated in such a way.

Imagine how someone would look if they held their hand at their side at the same orientation as we hold the mouse all day . . . its unnatural.

Does anyone know where I can get one or do you think it would be a good invention? Please let me know what you think.

I don't know about special ergonimic mice, but with an optical mouse often I use the side of my thigh as a "mousepad" which keeps my arm in a more natural position.

if you sit right, your arm is (for me) in a natural position when the palm and wrist is down, as to not squash the bone. I use a trackball now instead of a mouse, because you can tip the desk its on side to side, and while a normal mouse might slide off the desk, you can mount the trackball to the desk, and not impair the pointer.

I'm am intrigued as to why you might want to tip the desk on its side whilst using your computer :S. Surely your monitor, keyboard and speakers would fall off, not to mention all the paper-work, cd's and other bits of rubbish that are found on the normal user's desk.

I have an Microsoft optical intellimouse (just blinded myself trying to find out what its called, lol!), and ermm I have no problems with it apart from it getting sweaty from time to time, I normally slouch at my desk as the chair back is broke and I can do good 14 hour stints at my machine when I get heavily involved in a project without moving

What would be cool is computer chair. I know I know they are out there but I have never seen one just like what I ma thinking. A wide arm rest that has plenty of room for a pad and mouse. And a swivel table thing for the board. Reclines and for those non wireless people out there you can plug teh chair into you computer. That is ther chair has ports close to the arm resets to plug in your mouse and keyboard and the wires coming out by the base. That would be sweat.

phil.d.g: so my hands make better contact with the keyboard/trackball in a comfy manor.

and i don't have PC speakers, the ones we did have broke, so i cut the cable from it (the one that plugs into the computer), and took some audio cable, and tied them together, so now the wire goes from my computer, into 2 audio wires, and they plug into my stereo that i now use for my speakers. Since its stereo speakers, i keep them off my desk.

As for the monitor/junk: once i finish making a hold for my monitor, ill suspend it in the air at a good spot in my closet, were i put a lawn-ish chair (should make for a comfy computer chair/desk .....)

sadly, i couldn't find a way to add swivels, so instead i have to use fixed board, tilted at a good angle for my comfort

Spend $1000 on a mouse. It will help you out!
