stuff to do in the bay area

Hello dear people,

I'll be coming to the USA this summer for an internship of three months. As it seems now, I will be working at the Lawrence Berkeley Lab.
But of course I would like to do more then just work. Anyone know how to have blast in the bay area? Where to eat? Where to go out? Any tips about how to get around without a car? Where to find the ladies
Tips about how to find a place to stay would be nice to.

Cheers...

Chinatown

SF has the best Chinatown in the country. You owe it to yourself to go have at least one meal there while you're in the area.

The non-touristy Chinatown is in the Richmond district of San Francisco--on Clement Street.

Go visit the Apple Campus in Cupertino.

Go to downtown San Jose. They put billions of dollars into it. It looks really nice.

Palo Alto may be fun to drive through. But there isn't too much to do there.

Marin County has gorgeous views. Downtown Sausalito is an interesting place to visit. And you'll get to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge (probably).

Carmel is kind of far from the Bay Area. But it's a nice place to visit also. They have a lot of trees there and it's really beautiful. I saw some art galleries there.
