Shareaza experiences?

My in-laws are addicted to Kazaa (on their windows machines).

As a result their computers are always FULL of spyware (and guess who always ends up removing it).

Has anyone had any sucess running Shareaza as an alternative to Kazaa?
My guess would be that open source software such as Shareaza is adware-free - if it wasn't it would be re-written by somebody else in about 10 minutes.

Is it similiar in function and feel to Kazaa?
Any other suggeestions?

(Bitorrent is not an option - I dont think searching for torrents is their cup of tea)

Hey... I would give limewire a try. Its fast, easy, and doesn't have the Spyway Kazaa has.

My 2 cents.

I had a fairly good experience with Shareaza. Not quite as bad as Kazaa, but any peer-to-peer client use is likely to bring spyware, viruses, etc depending on what is being downloaded.
