You get the look of the lights right. You might do that by adjusting the materials, placing lights, compositing stuff over the scene, writing shaders, and tweaking the renderer. For stuff that isn't done in-engine (such as trailers and cut scenes), you'd probably use this software:
Your department is close to the end of the activity diagram (called the "pipeline" in industry), so all the last-minute work will be dumped on you. Note the lack of a smiley, because I'm serious. (hint: you know how game testers complain about their jobs? They're even further down the pipeline).

I've usually heard terms like "Lighting Engineer," "Lighting Specialist," or even "Key Grip" – simply because "Lighter" still makes me think of Flick Your Bic®.
