I'm thinking of buying a M/B, which takes DDR 400. However, i have also 256MB of DDR 333 from my older PC; can i use them? Would there be any problem? I have only heard, that the motherboard works with the frequency of the lower RAM module.
you should be able to use that memory (if it is listed in the motherboard manual)
but be warned the system will run at the slower speed, even if you later install another memory stick of a higher speed alongside the slower one.
