Quirky LQ End of Year Behaviors

Yes, I get it. We're all diverse and different.

I just thought it was funny how I'm on vacation the remaining weeks of the year and I get a bunch of LQ email notifications where people comment on threads I'm subscribed too. I wasn't proactively viewing new threads.

The "quirky" part is that I'd say about 95% of those threads were solved, closed, or mainly dormant; they existed in the last year, but many of them hadn't seen comments in weeks or months.

I'm like, "I'm recreating, so not doing my normal daily routines, little bit of email checking and sure I click on the hyperlinks to see the questions and continued comments."

And most of the time I was sitting there thinking, "Wait ... this thread is 'old', or 'Solved', ... a long time ago ...."

It also wasn't unknown responders, it was gurus, senior members, etc.
