Program to Search Net 24/7 on a Specific Term

Hi all,

I've been looking for an open source program that I can use to search the net 24/7 for a specific term and/or topic, and then log those results for me to examine later, but have failed to find anything. Do any of you know where I could find such a program?

Thanks for the link, and I will definitely consider using it. But I was hoping for an application that I could actually install on my system.

Try surfraw it allows you to do a search of various engines, google etc from the command line, when you have your command working just add it to a cron job, it has got lots of options so read the documentation

Thanks, I've fooled around with the program, and it seems it will do what I want it to do with some tweaking. Thanks again!
