Price check from my friends here at LinuxQuestions...
I was just wondering what you guys would pay for a picturebook pre installed with linux. I am thinking about posting it on ebay as a linux laptop and offering the windows xp install as an option. But what would you all pay. Its a PCG-C1vn, in good contidition except for a scratch on the cover and its pre installed with gentoo and it comes with the cdrom, usb floppy, and a netgear network card.

The forum rules do not permit advertising. Please visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/advertising/ for more information on advertising. Feel free to contact the forum admin if you have any questions about this policy.
The reason I think it's necessary to post this response is because this thread seems to be getting very, very close to being a "For Sale" ad, which would be against the LQ Rules you agreed to abide by when you became a member. Let's avoid that situation please. Thanks. -- J.W.

ooagentbender - thanks for the clarification. However, as I attempted to indicate in my earlier response, the phrase "... now I just need to find someone who wants to buy it..." could be interpreted as an indirect way of saying "if you or anyone you know might be interested in buying it...." which would essentially be an ad. Granted, that point can be debated, but just to play it safe I wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen.
Overall it's not that big of a deal, but I hope you understand why I posted a response. In my view one of the things that makes LQ so useful is the "no advertising" policy, which keeps the message board free of spam, and therefore we try to be as alert as possible to any posts that definitely are advertising, or seem to be getting pretty close to be advertising. Thanks again for your followup response. -- J.W.
