Poll: Do you think the US is right?

The post Saddam Captured has pushed me to finally do this.
I would like everyone to take the poll and tell me why you do or do not think it is good what the US is doing to Iraq.

I don't want to vote at all. I think the question is sliiiiiightly leading.

My opinion is that the U.N is the best tool we have for dealing with multilateral problems. And the U.S is doing a great job in trashing the U.N.

Regards
Martin

If the US didn't have the balls to stand up to tyrants, Canada would be a German colony today.

We should either drop Saddam in a shredder like he did to his opponents or relocate him to Nova Scotia.

btw: what does this have to do with linux anyway.

Are you on crack??? Germany colony? I assume your talking WW2, in which case, crack a history book or 2. It's highly unlikely that Germany in WW2 with an almost non existant surface naval force would have attempted a multi thousand mile crossing of the Atlantic with a full military, and attempt to land on the Atlantic coast of a country that at the time had the 5th strongest navy, and 3rd strongest air force in the world??? Especially one allied tightly to the country which at the time had the strongest navy in the world (England), especially when even German naval strategists knew they didn't have the naval capacity to launch an attack against Great Britain, across a measly channel, and also with the Russian Red Army blowing their rear ends back to the Rheinland in a whole lot of little of pieces! Please, if anything, without US involvement, at worse we'd have a Russian Germany, not a German Canada.

hmm, good point, Canada would probably be a USSR colony, but as soon as the collapse of the USSR happened in the late 80's the US (assuming that it hadn't already lost to Russia) would be poised for world domination.
BUAH HA HA HA HAAA!!!

but on a serious note, I like the idea of a poll, I just hope it doesn't become a flame-fest like that Sadam one did.

Are you off your rocker?!??!!
Just for arguments sake lets say Germany took over Canada.... they wouldn't have kept it for more than 5 years....( I doubt that long) becuase the canadian citizens would tear them apart.

The US is starting to try and boss Canada around...but if they ever decide to invade,....well... their dead before they started.... two reasons.
1) The citizens would rip their heads off and eat them for lunch.
2) I am just waiting for that to happen... I have ten designs for cheap weapons.Ones that could literally wipe out armies. If someone tries to take over I'm give them away for free.......

Anyway.... I really appreciate everyones opinions..keep them coming.

Lets try to get this topic back on the original topic. Either express if you think is right with its actions or not, its that simple. Lets not let this turn into another Iraq political debate, we already have one of those going on right now which is actually on the verge of getting closed as some members can't follow simple rules.

Keep it clean or this one is heading right in the same direction, to closure.

Regards.

Closing it sounds good to me. Given enough time it will turn into a Lets-Bash_America post. People can't control themselves.

Yes. LQ.org was not setup for members to bash others, that includes countries too.

The last member to somehow gather over 500 posts then suddenly became anti-american, made threads like this and now no longer logs into this site, I'm sure you can figure out why.

I always give threads a chance and this one was given that chance in my last reply.

Keep it clean or don't post at all. If you want to bicker and call others names, post threads that will offend others, create your own forum to do that on, but not here.

Regards.
