Openoffice page placing

Hi

I've noticed, compared to Microsoft Office, when you maximise the window in OpenOffice (with the view on print layout) the page is always positioned to the left. I like OpenOffice, and prefer it over Abiword/KOffice etc., but I find this asymmetricality somewhat irritating. Does anyone know how I can have the page positioned in the middle of the screen instead of off to one side?

Thanks

Yes, that's a very annoying thing, I've tried a lot of options but no result, hopefully someone here may know the solution.

Having it on the left keeps it near the vertical ruler.

Sorry, but I like it the way it is.

Freedom of choice, configurability, etc. etc., ---> Linux ideals?
It might be great for you but personally I'd like to be able to change it

Surely I can't be the first wanting to do this

The OpenOffice people could give you a better answer, and many of them use it in Linux. Go to www.openoffice.org and post your question in the set up and trouble shooting forum.
