open source download manager

hey has anyone come across an open source download manager that's written for a *nix system (preferably in java)

on a 56kb modem waiting isn't all that fun!

I think GTM is a download manager. But it isn't java.

d4x I think is the name of one, it's like download accelerator for X, anyway, it's a manager of sorts. You can also always use wget and throw in a couple of flags such as -c to allow resuming.

KGet is a download manager for KDE. I got it installed with my system. It's not written in Java but it's quite good.

If you want an FTP manager, then I suggest gFTP as quite a good option.
