Amazingly enough, you can get an encoder from the Ogg Vorbis homepage in the downloads section.

I heard the new Brita filters will filter out all the stupid juice potions that one might use to demoralize his enemy

Yeah, grip is cool. There is probably even a one stepper available for winbloze, but it's been a while and I only did the mp3 thing on there, so I can't really help there. But for mp3's I used to use musicmatch. They might support oggs, but I don't know for sure.

Cool

I'm not sure if this'd work... download the OGG plugins for WinAmp and 'save to disk' any file that you play! I've not tried it, so I can't vouch for it's plausability as an option. Just a thought.

Thymox, yes yes, I've used this many times. It was actaully standard practice for my friends and I before we discovered nero (back in the windows days).

For my Ogg-Vorbis problem, i found solutions for both. Rip data to exact spec as wav then use the ogg-vorbis encoder from there site. I'm reripping all my CD's to 320Kbps for best quality

Tho the encoder says you'll get best quality using there default Variable Bitrate settings, wouldn't Constant bitrate be better or shall i say more 'accurate'?

I guess it depends on how good your hearing is. AFIAK, the variable setting allows you to have a low quality setting on the parts of the music where you'd not notice it (such as 'silent' pauses or simple drum loops) and high (>320?) for the parts that are more 'busy' and are therefore more likely to sound bad with low qualities. So, overall, what you would gain by using variable quality, by this reckoning, would depend on the music... I think
