Why sometimes in Windows, we can see the "Not responding" message, and the screen freezes for some moments.

What happened?

Bad spot in the Universe for a operating system with Ebola maybe? If taliking Windows OS.

Device mamajamma/manager.For Linux. "top" in terminal should show what is hanging up.

insufficient resources, a bad DLL, hell, it could be anything or everything.
What's event viewer say?

could be really ANYTHING

from out of ram it " you are a zombie"

or MS Windows Explorer crashed

It has been my experience that i EXPECT the "Microsoft Windows Explorer " to crash AT LEAST one time every day
