Netscape | IE | Mozilla | Are the wars really back?

Now that Netscape's back and seems to be gathering momentum, what do you guys feel about it and Mozilla? I know 8.0 has support for both Gecko and IE's Trident, along with all of Firefox's goodies...

Just wondering...

P.S Is there going to be a linux version of Netscape 8.0?

Netscape has Firefox's goodies? Not that I know of.
Take a look at the extensions page at Netscape:
http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/comm...p?application={3db10fab-e461-4c80-8b97-957ad5f8ea47}

"Coming soon."

And, no, Netscape probably will not be ported to Linux because part of the new Netscape's design is a dual-rendering--Internet Explorer for "trusted sites" and Firefox for other sites. And I've tried it out; Netscape does not mimic IE's rendering, it actually uses IE. There is no IE in Linux, so there probably will not be a Netscape port.

I haven't found any particular reason to use Netscape over Firefox. Have you?

I see

I see...

Aparently Firefox also uses less resources for the same volume of data being viewed.

Hmm I never liked netscape just had too much stuff I didn't need. Thats why I found firefox so appealing it had nothing but when I want to add functions I could add what I wantet and nothing else. Thats also the same reason I don't like those various IE shells too much stuff I don't use. See I like having only what I want and nothing else installed. However Netscape I looked at their site and seemed interesting now but meh I liek firefox still....(even my roomate who never likes to try anythign different in terms of software uses firefox now and he loves it mainly cause it prevents him from getting that stupid coolsearchbar crap that is frigging impossible to remove)
