Personally, I have always been intrigued by the idea of "cold fusion," with the expectation that "this is the sort of mystery that I still expect to find." (For instance also: the speculation that iron might somehow serve as an "atomic(!) catalyst.")

Yes, we obviously now know that "nuclear fusion" occurs at a phenomenal scale in "the sun and the stars," but I have always suspected that the same reaction occurs in other – much less dramatic but still "powerful" – situations, too.

We have literally "built our world" around the chemical reaction of "oxidation." But, what if there is something more? To me, that mystery is tantalizing . . .

As for me, I fully plan to put-aside my harp and my music lessons, then sit on a cloud somewhere and look down to see when the people below me figure the next very cool(!) thing out.
