msi wind

To whom it may concern,

I know this is off topic and it is a question about windows xp, but I would have to register myself on a windows xp forum and if I have to register on that type of forum to get the answer I will. Does anyone know of an open source alternative to realtek audio driver for windows xp on msi wind u100? Or better yet a site that has a list of open source alternatives for windows xp? If no one wants to respond I completely understand and I will go elsewhere to get my answer if I have to.

Depending on your specific needs virtually any Linux distro can replace XP. I would guess that 90% of the people out there could use Linux (excluding gaming) and half those might not even realize that they were running Linux instead of windows.

You want just an Open Source Audio Driver for Windows ? I don't think there is such a beast.

Your only option for Windows Drivers will be either the manufacturer of your netbook (MSI) or the manufacturer of the component (Realtek)
