Microsoft server side / client side technologies?


I am doing an essay and it asks to comment about MICROSOFT SERVER SIDE / CLIENT SIDE TECHNOLOGIES (please comment – OS / IIS / WCF / Apps

I have no idea what to write, I know a lot more about linux server but not much about microsoft. Can anyone please help how to answer this? thanks.

p.s. whats the difference between server side and client side?

If you're not aware of the difference between a client and a server, you're going to have a bad time!

your laptop is a client, the web systems running linuxquestions.org are the servers. They serve data to your client.

Microsoft have loads of different systems which form either client or server roles. IIS is a server, IE is a client. Given that we can't write your assignment for you, I'm not sure what else we can really tell you.
