Would you know of a Web Server Stress Test tool for Web Servers whether IIS or Apache? I am looking for a tool that can do something similar to an DOS but simulating many users hitting a web server. I work for a University and we have almost all kinds of web servers, so it would have to run centrally from one server, preferrably Linux, and attempt to test through port 80.

I also have been testing Microsoft's Stress Test tool, which is archaic.

Yes, but Nessus does Security testing, and what I need is a Web Server load tester or stress tester
