Info on sanatorium ram : singapore
Hullo all,
-=- computer ram sticks -=-
-=- computer ram modules -=-
I decided to up my ram from a 1GB dual pair ddr400 (ddr1),(pc3200) to a 2Gb dual pair.
I'm trying to get some information on ram sticks. With a brand name of 'sanatorium', from Singapore ... based on what was shown to me on looking into a couple of local computer shops.
I didn't have my classes on at the time, but the brand name is either that or sounds/looks very similar.
At around 65 to 75 dollars for a 1Gb stick they sounded grossly under priced for .au. Even with the high current dollar rate.
So i'm smelling a bit of a 'smirf' in their direction at present (grin).
And as i haven't heard of them before i though i 'd try a search ... nothing appears to be available though. The usual searches haven't turned up anything as yet ...
And a search on 'computermarket' ... a local on-line supplier i'm registered with, hasn't got any references to them too ... preferring cosair and kingston, at what, as i remember, a more correct price.
I'm wondering if any one knows anything about these modules/company ?
Also wondering on, what to look for on a stick to get its' cas/ras rating. That is ... the 4 numbers, such as,
2,2,2,2
2.5,3,3,3
etc ??
memcheck rates my current giel ram as the second, but there dosen't seem to be anything on the stick or box to suggest that.
And i can remember the counter person where i bought them pretending he was deaf when asked at the time too (grin).
TIA
