I cannot login to yahoo mail or LQ sometimes

I just upgraded to slack 12 from a fresh install and use Opera but I

cannot open up my mail in yahoo or login to my internet banking using Opera or Firefox and

sometimes I try to login to LQ and it kicks me back to the login screen.

I use guarddog and I am thinking maybe I have something not setup correctly

I just disabled guarddog and tried again and I can login to Yahoo mail.

Does anyone know what boxes I need to check to keep guarddog enabled and allow me to access yahoo mail?

As I see it, there are diff issues

LQ has a http protocol so if you get to it on your new system, the firewall is not the issue altho if you never could see LQ it is.

But most banks sites and Yahoo mail login, use https which is a firewall issue

open guarddog with root powers and allow http and https

2) also clear your history so you get a fresh page and close down opera b4 resetting firewall.

Lq and yahhoo mail use a cookie to say that you are logged on and to identify you, if you remove this you will be logged out, if you never accept it then you will never be logged in

so make sure cookies are enabled,
if you want you can set them to be deleted when opera or firefox close this will have teh benifit of logging you out when you close the browser

I have cookies enabled in Opera and I still cannot log into LQ. I can only log in using firefox but I normally use Opera.
