HP DeskJet 5150 printer problem!
Hello,
I apologise for writing in this General forum, but I have no idea where else to put a thread.
A week ago I bought a new printer, a HP DeskJet 5150. Well there is a problem with it, and I doubt that the guys from the store could help me, even though it has an one year warranty. The problem is that every time I print a page, a single page or a few pages, after printing them it continues printing pages with weird things, like colored lines with ticks on the left of every one of them. It's good that it has a 'stop' button to cancel the printing. The pages printed after my printed pages look like some test pages. I am using it with WinXP Pro SP1, I haven't tried yet to run it under Linux, but I will as soon as I solve this problem. In WinXP the printer icon which appears on the taskbar when I print, when I open the it and there is a list of what is being printed, for example a single page, it is written there pages 1/1 , 64/125kb (there are not the values every time I print, but almost every time the first value is less than the second like these), so when my page has been printed it continues and it is written 'pages 1/4' now! It's very strange! I only printed a single sheet and now it's written there are 3 more! This happens every time I print! I'm not so well finnancially to spend money for ink cartidges often right now! Can anyone help?
