how do you make an cd that autoruns in windows?


yeah i was wondering if anyone knows how to make the files that make a cd automaticly run a program when its in the drive? i know theres a few programs that make menus for autorun cds but i really only wanna know how to make it run simply commands like open an index.html file on the cd with the web browser. any ideas??

just simply make the autorun.inf file on the cd ...
and within the file just make it execute whatever
you wish upon insertion of the cd ..

it simply looks like this :

[autorun]
open=setup.exe
icon=setup.exe
you don't have to use the icon option, that is just if you wish to use a
different icon ..
of course that is just an example and you will change the open=
to execute whatever it is you want ..

As far as I know,...

There is an autorun.inf file that you must create to point the CD autorun function in Windoze to load the program it directs...

It is the same as any other Windoze *.inf for all I know...
