How'd you find LQ?

Hi! This is sort of 2 threads in one, but since the one is just informational, I think it's appropriate and related enough to be OK.

So, first off, here's some links to sites mentioning LQ that I found around:
http://www.linuxmax.net/news/00827.html (This is all about LQ joining forces with Affero)

http://www.jabentley.com/linux.html (Drew you were #5 on a search on google! Cool )

http://www.conecta.it/linux/starting.html (Cool, they call you guys experts, rightly deserved!)

Ok, so I could go on with those links for a while, but that's cool for now.

I am wondering how all of you found LQ? Were you pointed here by a current member? Did you find it from a search on google (or some other search engine) for an existing problem? Did you just happen to type in the URL, and get lucky? Did some aliens come down, beam you up to their ship, speak torphydrian to you, and finally, after many long hours of grueling tests give you a piece of paper with the LQ url on it? Or are you in an attempt to "Save the Penguin " and decided this would be a good place to start that quest?

How did you find LQ?

It's been a while, and I have the worst memory out of anybody I know. But I do believe I found it by searching for a way to install LimeWire over on www.google.com/linux. Sad as that is, I really think that's how I found LQ. I wish that I had been searching for something like how to run a streaming video sever on linux, but no, I do think it was Limey . The community seemed very friendly, and was very good at helping me out with my trivial problems (which to me weren't so trivial of course). So I decided to stay, learn everything I can, and eventually give back.

Cool

I do believe I was bored one day and was just typing linux related names in the address bar and thought I would try linuxquestions.org and what do you know, it loaded and been here ever since. It was either that or I googled my way here, but I've stumbled across lots of sites by just typing out names in the address bar to see if they exist

I was looking for help sites. I tried out linuxnewbie, but I didn't find it very useful beyond the NFHs. I typed linux questions in over at www.google.com/linux, and I find myself here. It's a great site, most of my questions are answered within a few hours.

I honestly do not remember. I searched for my first post hoping that would jog my memory, but it was an answer, not a question. I guess it will always be a mystery...

A year and a half ago now I guess... trying to find out how to get the WPC11 and the PLX adapter to work with Linux. I got here through google with a general search for wireless.

Irony knows no bounds.

Cheers,

Finegan
