high availability, security, mainframes and Enterprise Information Systems?

I had a discussion with a few friends the other day, were the central discussion was the high availability, security, mainframes and Enterprise Information Systems.

basicly my point of view was that if you take the major leaders in the market today in this areas, are moving using linux system. Mostly we disagreed.

I do want to know what people think of this, and tell your considerations about wich could be the 3 major leaders in these areas.

thank you for comment!

Crash posted a good link. Things you might look into are virtual systems running on mainframes(something utilized where I work), using the Z/os...5 9's are fairly easy to achieve using this setup.
