France Telecom: French tolerate such services and really pay
Hi Guys,
I tried for the first time the hotline for french telecom. Man, this is so crap services compared to those you get in US.
I am wondering if french arent stupid for paying that crap. No one says anything. You spend really one hour with wonderful music/greetings just for getting a simple question/help.
try 10 14 and enjoy

For those who know India, this may surprise you.
(1)
BSNL - the state owned telephone company (not a monopoly though). Hotline for billing complaints in Chennai circle - 1500, 6 days a week service. Automatic interactive key response system to choose your language and I got a prompt and pertinent clarification (haven't tried resolution/rectification yet).
(2)
VSNL - the formerly state owned ISP (since privatised). Published help desk number. Won't gve you a ticket number unless you ask but otherwise OK.
