Finally.. The perfect laptop kernel.

Here is a replay of the last few days.

recompile......Doh!!
recompile......Doh!!
recompile......Doh!!
recompile......Doh!!
recompile......Wooooohhooooo

Kernel compilation gets easier and easier each time. I just kept re-running make xconfig on the same config file until I had it tweaked just right. ACPI, USB-Networking, everything is working. Sorry just had to celebrate....

Why are you lost? If you need help you've come to the right place.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.

Is it just me or is the new 2.6.0-test1 kernel BUGGY? It killed my keyboard and touchpad. I am going to go back to the wonderfully stable 2.4.21 kernel. At least for laptop purposes .
