I don't think that a phillipine boy would buy his hardware with mexican pesos. And as he already stated, he has not the possibility to do that, and also has already reinstalled the Windows without the need to format.

i am in mexico , monterrey . don't fight for that . now it's alright . i installed everything i need in windows and everything seems to be going fine. i put all the most important stuff in /home but it won't happen nothing cuz windows doesn't fsck in it so it's alrgight (i mean it doesnt make chkdsk at startup ) now i just need to fix grub ... i already found some guides , but i seem to like windows (speedbit video accelerator for youtube , especially :P)

EDIT: as of the dd command , i already mentioned i don't have external usb hard disks .
