I went on a missions trip to Paraguay back in 1995. I believe we went to San Pedro.

I have only been to Ciudad del este near the border with Brazil.
I have to say that it is probably not the nicest part of paraguay, it is basically for Brazilians to buy cheap things and did not seem to be that safe. Although it was interesting to see the changes from Brazil to Paraguay.

I think the rest of the country is nice.

Talking

I have a friend who was born in Paraguay. He's going back to visit family very soon. He is also a linux user.
Do you have relatives in my part of the world? A version of your user name is a common name over here.

I was in Asunción once a long time ago for a couple of weeks, and traveled up river to enter Brazil via Puerto Murtinho I believe it was called. For the most part Paraguay was a dump and I was happy to leave.

As for Christ, I guess he was probably ok but i very much i doubt he loves me or that I owe my existence to him.

Um... Christ definately loves you, but you don't owe Him anything (even though He did create you)...

Religion is not stupid. I at least know where I will go when I die, I know that it will not be a horrible place. I know that when I die, I will go to a place much better than any place on earth, and that is such a great peace and joy. Not knowing having to fear death or worrying about dying. Also, the joy I have from Christ being in my heart is greater than words could ever conceive.

Hehehe.
I wasn't condemning religion (being religious myself, I'm in favor of it), I was just hoping to prevent the hijacking of this thread for purposes of Deist/Athiest warfare.

Apropos,
I haven't been to Paraguay, but I hope to go someday.
