Dual CPU's and the Thunderbird

I don't suppose anyone knows if it is possible to run dual Athlon t-birds (rather than the MP's)? The board I'm looking at is the Tyan Tiger MP (www.tyan.com). Anybody have any other comments/suggestion? Thanks in advance.

I asked AMD that once, and they said no, because the front-side bus speed is not properly configured to allow the T-birds perform correctly.

But they could be wrong...

Yes, the T-Birds and the XPs will run in on that board. They won't take full advantage of the dual processing power because they are not meant to do it. Hence, the MP.

T-birds...you might get lucky, Durons with morgan core should work and Athlon MP's are XP's that have been tested by AMD to work in SMP, a pair of matched XP's should work but are not supported by AMD or any mobo maker.
