Eventually, United States politicians will disappoint the supporters that elected them and suffer their eventual wrath!! I voted for Obama and I voted for New York Mayor Bill De Blasio and I am ashamed for having done so!! I never voted for Hillary at any time because she can not even fake any integrity. Donald Trump will eventually sour his supporters; just how much is anyone's guess right now!!

Everyone has expectations about politicians. That is natural and normal.

If they are good expectations, however, then you must be high.

I do not have high expectations about politicians.

If you're gonna run for political office, you have to have a very tough skin. And, enormous dedication. (But, not all of them do.)

Or, rather than dedication, be enormously crooked and able to fake it convincingly. Alas, we have seen TOO many of those.
