well, those of us who have been around for long enough know that our beloved trickykid has been the unquestioned high lord and master of the post count for longer than the vast majority of us have been members. our seasoned members also know that acid_kewpie has been slowly but steadily creeping up on him for more than a year - and at my last check, he was only 20 posts behind tricky, and closing fast. that means that sometime today or tomorrow, we'll have a new leader...
Its about time really. I knew from the first time he emailed me saying he was going to surpass me one day in number of posts, that he would do it.. I wish I still had that email.
But actually if you count his other posts as that other user, he's actually got about 600 more than what he has now.
Woohoo acid.. you go boy !
But there is one other person who will surpass us both, I'm sure most can figure that one out.
It's easy really. Just get hired on as a Navy Pharmacy Technician, work nights for a good long while, spend most of your time at work and away from posting on LQ, learning and helping, and before you know you've accumulated over 5k posts. Then from there it's just participating, enjoying the discussions, learning even more, and of course helping out even more. I find linux more and more intreaguing (spelling?) the more I use it. When I learn something, it makes me more inclined to find out all I can about it. To sort of Master it, as best I can with the resources everyone else has (google and LQ mostly ).

It's called being a member and persistent for over 2 years now, that's how I've gotten my count up. Another way is being a moderator, I not only enjoy this site, I see it as a responsibility now.

Sounds like my sister, she's addicted to that game.
Oh man, look at that. After watching the Roy Jones/Ruiz fight on PPV, acid caught up finally.. but it appears there are some unanswered questions, so I jumped back ahead a bit.
Woohoo, there are some lucky linux n00bs out there who are gonna get their questions answered at record breaking times now! With any luck, you'll answer my lame questions...
