Copy Video CD to DVD?

I've just purchased an incredibly rare Indian film (anybody heard of Pushpak?) on a Video CD. My DVD player supports it but since I'd like to share it with a few people who don't have VCD compatible players I was wondering if it would be possible to just copy the data to a DVD and have it work normally.
