While cleaning up my HD, I just ran across the video of Bill Gates getting hit with the pie. I watched it frame by frame, and I had a few questions. The pie-wielder runs off in one direction, then seems to come from the other direction with another pie and a can of whipped cream. Was there more than one person involved?
On a related note, did anyone notice the glitch in the "Windows 98 Demonstration video" at the exact moment Gates' assistant (nobody seems to know his name) gave the machine a vulcan nerve pinch?

I used that video clip in a presentation in a business class last year. I still get a kick out of it. I wonder how much money Bill Gates earned in the time it took to get pied? Just a thought.
if i'm not mistaken, that's a faked video. what "really" happened is the queen (or some other authoritative position) in england or france got pied, and they basically replaced the person with bill gates.
i could be horribly wrong about that, so dont hold me to it, heh.
iirc though, there were 2 people in the incident i'm talking about.
No : The pie-incident was real.
We had some group running around during that time , that had this idea of "alternative" protesting by pieing people , they considered "Public Scum" .
Others , mainly politicians , have been pied too.

you mean she turned the machine on? (i never saw it, but the glitch sounds like it was because she turned on the machine "wrong" )
Conspiracy theorists speculated there was a second pie thrower hiding in a grassy knoll, but a crack team of FBI investigators explained the sudden change in the pie's trajectory through careful analysis of pie tin aerodynamics. The government has deemed this the act of a lone pie thrower and the case is now closed. Of course, there are still some people who refuse to accept the official explanation and mock it as the "magic pie" theory.
Eum if I remember well, the pie thing was real and it was in Brussels. I am Belgian and since Brussels is our capital, I'll never forget those images on the news again . I am proud some Belgians took that pie to another level of importance .
