Are Active Directories modified by ISA Server ?
* I hope my question is somewhat appropriate in this forum; it is related to MS ISA Server and Active Directory, but also alludes Fedora Core 5 routing and firewalling.

Hi,
I have a really basic question about ISA Server - I'm a beginner and I'm planning to give it a first try.
Does an ISA Server machine behave as a black-box to the Active Directories in the domains behind the firewall ? I mean, do the Active Directories behind the ISA Server remain unmodified or unaffected by the addition of the ISA Server ?
More background - I have in my test environment 3 subnets:
1) 192.168.2.x - a Win2000domain.com w/ gwy to the Internet 192.168.2.1;
2) 192.168.1.x - a Linux workgroup - no common domain yet;
3) 192.168.0.x - a Win2003domain.com;
The subnets are interconnected right now through simple switching hubs and a routing computer that has 3 NICs.
This routing computer runs Windows 2003 Server w/ domain name Win2003rtr.com - only one machine in the domain. I plan to install ISA Server on this routing computer.
Again, my question is - if I install ISA Server now on the Win2003rtr.com domain, are the Active Directories on any of the other Windows domains going to be modified due to interaction and/or propagation ?
Thnx
p.s.
The routing computer is actually dual-boot. The first boot is of Fedora Core 5 already set up and working perfectly as a router, providing Internet access and NAT service to the Linux workgroup and the Win2003domain.
The Active Directories of Win2000domain.com and Win2003domain.com are completely unaware of each other right now - I'd like to keep them like that.
I'd like to switch back and forth between the Fedora Core 5 and the Windows 2003 Server w/ ISA Server to assess differences in routing and firewalling between them.
