Android gate app asks for Internet connection only after loading music app
I live in a gated community. The gate opens with a Bluetooth
app. I bought a 'smart'phone to use it. I went for a walk this
morning but first side-loaded a music player app and some audio files.
When I tried to open the gate, it insisted on making an Internet
connection. I have no service on the phone, never have; it's never
balked before. I unloaded the music app and the gate app works again.
The maker's tech support is worthless. Have you any guess about why?
