Re. Musk's blatant hypocrisy, I'm grateful that hypocrisy is otherwise so rare!
But I know I too am a blatant hypocrite because I buy from Amazon despite its anti-labour policy. My internet provider is owned by a rascal but provides the cheapest plan. I drink milk sourced from methane-emitting animals rather than almond milk to pinch pennies, I refuse to "eat bugs and be happy", etc, etc, etc.
Of course, whatever else could I have meant?
Edit: Frankly though, I don't believe I've ever seen the phrase, "Opinions are like hearts", but if I ever do I will be sure to credit you.

Lucky you! It's far more common where I'm from. It's a hang over from what was called "The parish pump mentality." All the local inhabitants of a rural area might be supplied by one water pump. So if you fell out with someone,it was more practical to just pretend to be polite rather than have it out with him every day. We usually didn't have the weapons to go duelling each other.
"A couple months ago
@ElonMusk
tweeted that if you had been fired from using the platform (X) for exercising your right to free speech, he would like to offer these people legal representation. Quite the noble offer, but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought anyone would take on my case against Lucasfilm/Disney. Still, I did respond back “I think I qualify” & thousands of people agreed--but I did not expect anything.
To my surprise, a few months ago I received an email from a lawyer who had been hired by X to look into my story & many others. Turns out after sending them as much information as I could gather these past few months, my now lawyers & X believe whole-heartedly in my case & are moving forward.
That was confusing - perhaps you should have used quote tags?
I have no idea what she was supposed to have said, but Disney would probably have fired (almost) anyone, for PR reasons alone, if they couldn't keep their "tweeting" under control and getting too political.
Disney nowadays has the appearance of being quite "woke" and they have packed a lot of virtue signalling into their Star Wars and MCU cash cow franchises. Most of the MCU and Star Wars actors know to keep their opinions to themselves and just project the "friendly" image, without courting any controversy. Whether you like it or not, it's the world we live and none of the big media corporations want to risk any association with or appearance of endorsing someone who doesn't fit with the "narrative".
I dout this is over. Erdoğan doesn't react kindly to push back on anything.
"X regularly files legal challenges around the world to defend our users from Government censorship. This week, we secured an important ruling in Turkey that reaffirmed the importance of these challenges.
The Turkish government had previously demanded the removal of approximately 45 posts, including three from an opposition party leader, which were critical of the government's role in a tragic landslide incident. The government had threatened X with substantial fines if we did not comply with orders to remove the content.
X objected in court and this week the Court agreed that the posts in question were protected under the rights to freedom of expression and the press, and subsequently invalidated the government's demands.
This outcome reaffirms X's commitment to protecting its users' rights to free speech globally and we will continue to use all legal avenues available to defend our users’ speech." https://twitter.com/GlobalAffairs/st...25876124537279
Musk seems to have brought back a policy of reducing visibility of certain posts. And so soon after the cat blender sentencing reportage. Well, as the owner of X, cathedra mea, regulae meae (TBBT) applies.
It will be interesting to see what he comes up with:
