unable to install with 7600GS PCI-e card
Well, have finally installed FC5, but could not do it with the PCI-e 7600GS Nvidia card I have. Install just kept crashing. Had to use the onboard video, for some reason FC5 wouldn't see the card, or boot, just hung.
So, now it's running, but I can't install Nvidia drivers because it doesn't see the card, and I can't boot with the card because it doesn't have the drivers.
Have tried other distros and had the same result. Have used every install argument I know. Is there a way on the install to pass a command telling it to see the PCI card, even if it's just at a crappy 2D resolution, so that I can install the drivers?
Don't know much Linux, although remember some Unix stuff from high school (am I dating myself?)
Pentium D930 on Intel D945Gnt board
1024 dual channel DDR
BFG 7600GS Nvidia card (obviously)
160gig SATA2 Seagate drive
17" Generic LCD (AOpen)
All greatest thanks in advance.
