How can I upgrade my Fedora Core 3?
After I installed Fedora Core 3, I up2date directly.
However, some tools, such as kdevelops, etc. have not installed yet.
After I up2date FC3, I found there are a lot of problems.
For instance, I wanna install the newest GTK, even though the up2date of FC3 has finished, I can only check the lower version of GTK. But, when I wanna to install the new GTK, the system will tell me I need a rpm "A". When I installed "A", the system will always tell me "A" needs a lower version of "A" itself.
What does it mean? why not upgrade indepently? Does that mean a new FC3 needs formal FC3?
I used "yum", most of the time, it has no use.
Is there anybody who can give me a thorough method of solving this problem?
How can I always use the newest system, just like under windows, after I click windows update, everything will be ok even if I fell asleep?
BTW, how can I fully install GTK 2.6??
Cheers
