Question Growing Used HDD space

Good Day to all of you...

I have a non-GUI Fedora Core 4 box with configured Squid and Squidguard, both of them have their respective log/logging features disabled.... the problem is, every other day I check the free/available off the hard drive, the available free space is reduced at a rate of 1% every other day...I tried to look in the var/log directory and deleted huge log files but still, the problem still persists..

Hope you guys can help me...

Thank you very much..

Roy

You can use the find command to find large files. For example:

find / -size 100M

You can find the size of various parts of your file system by using the df command. For example:

df /var -s -h

See:
man df
man find

Oops. In my first post I recommended the df command when I should have recommended the du command.

du /var -s -h
