Dual Boot: Cannot boot Fedora 33 alongside Linux Mint 20.10.
Hello Everyone.
I want to dual boot Fedora 33 alongside Linux Mint 20.10.
I used a software called UNetbootin to dual boot these Linux Distros.
After I used this software and restarted my computer, I went to my BIOS and selected my pen USB to boot Fedora.
My pen USB is DataTraveler 100 G3 that has a capacity of 64 GB.
After I selected, I started Fedora, nothing happened, except a message appeared: "Couldn't Load Resources. Trying to boot securely." or anything related to that. I don't remember the message exactly, but it appeared 4 minutes after the black screen that appeared.
2 minutes later, the same error was repeating around 2 times per second. After it stopped repeating, at around 8 minutes total, the file /dev/boot wasn't found, preventing my PC from booting to Fedora.
I might recommend setting up a VENTOY USB device (link is in my signature), and copy the ISO for Fedora onto it. Optionally, set it up for persistence.
What you are doing is live/USB booting. Dual booting or multi-booting is when you ave more than one complete OS install on your hard drive. My assumption is that you do NOT want that, you want to boot Fedora from the USB device.
You might want to check if your machine uses EFI (uefi) boot. Ventoy can be set to support that.
