Question Cannot view Desktop in VNC

I've edited my ../.vnc/xstartup file to:

#!/bin/sh

# Uncomment the following two lines for normal desktop:
unset SESSION_MANAGER
exec /etc/X10/xinit/xinitrc

[ -x /etc/vnc/xstartup ] && exec /etc/vnc/xstartup
[ -r $HOME/.Xresources ] && xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
xsetroot -solid grey
vncconfig -iconic &
xterm -geometry 80x24+10+10 -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &
twm & kde

This gives me a blank screen and not the desktop. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the last line 'twm & kde' with the path to 'startkde'

you can use vi, emacs, nano, or any other command line text editor on your system.
